The Tour de France started in London in 2007 with a Prologue around Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park before heading off down to Canterbury in Kent for Stage 1

We took a trip down to Stonehenge and Bath with Andersons Tours. We saw the stones, we saw the the Bath .... didn't take a bath though ....

2007-05-07 - Canterbury Cathedral (31)
We finally got to go and see the Canterbury Cathedral. we had been doing this on several occasions buit for various reasons, weather, shopping or the local cuisine, we never seemed to make it.
It was an amazing place in that it is so large and the architecture is so impressive for something so old. They are currently restoring some of it around the place and you can see the difference between the clean sandstone and the older areas.

Leeds Castle is in the County of Kent in the United Kingdom. Ddon't get that confused and go to Leeds County otherwise you will be a little out of your way.
Leeds Castle is more of a manor house to me as it is very large and doesn't really have many of the defensive attributes a castle would have ... but then who am I to judge ... we don't have castles in Australia ....

Dover Castle and the White Cliffs of Dover on the South East coast of the county Kent, United Kingdom.
We hired a car (the car .. a citreon C2) and hit the road to see some of the sites in South East England.

Pictures of Lake Illawarra as the sun is setting from Boonerah Point Park, Mt Warrigal. Was hoping that there were some clouds about to catch the last bit of the sun as went down over the Mountain Range but alas was disappointed.
